What a free day covers

Stated plainly, because a vague offer wastes your time as much as ours. One engineer-day does not retrofit a machine. It does deliver any one of these.

PLC program recovered, backed up and documented. Most units have never had this done. If that controller dies without a backup, the machine gets rebuilt, not repaired.
One nuisance fault diagnosed and fixed. The one nobody has solved.
Alarm and diagnostic page added to your HMI. So the operator knows why it stopped.
Sequence of operation written down, step by step, and handed over.
Dead text display replaced with a touch HMI, where the existing PLC allows it.
Machine assessed and a fixed-price retrofit quote issued, if that is what you need.

Not included: Panel building, field wiring, material and hardware, commissioning of new equipment, and anything safety-rated. That is honest scope, not fine print — we would rather say it now than argue about it on the day.

What genuinely works over a call

More than people assume. If you are outside our travel radius, this is a real offer, not a polite substitute.

Program review. Send us the file. You get back annotated findings — missing interlocks, timers doing a sensor's job, rungs that only work by luck.
Documentation. We comment your program and write the sequence in plain English. You never need anyone to explain your own machine again.
HMI screens built here and sent as a file for your team to download.
Backup rescue. We walk your maintenance man through pulling a program off an old controller.
Fault diagnosis on video call. Your operator points a phone at the panel; we watch a full cycle and read the indicators.
PLC, I/O, HMI and drive sizing for a machine you are planning.
Modbus register mapping and communication setup.

Not remotely: wiring, field measurement, commissioning and safety work need someone in the room. We will say so rather than pretend.

Why is it free?

We started PLC and HMI services this year. We would rather earn a reputation on real machines than talk about it in a brochure. That is the whole reason — there is no contract, no lock-in, and nothing to sign beyond a one-page scope sheet that says what we will do and what we will not touch.

If the day fixes your problem, that is the end of it and you owe us nothing. If it turns out to need a panel or new hardware, we will tell you what it costs, itemised, and you are free to take that to anyone.
